Bring a kid and a small quantity of cash and you've got your day sorted. You can rent bikes, boats, bouncy castles and more. You can get snacks and coconut water, similar fare to what's on offer at the beach. Watch helicopters take off and land next to the lake. It's great. Main downside is no public toilet, just a very entrepreneurial guy with a portaloo and a card machine.

Great open air space to stay outdoors. It's got plenty to offer: playground areas for kids (entrance fee is required), bikes for rental, water paddling boats, open space for skating and rollerblades (free), green areas just for sitting around, and a few restaurants to grab a bite and/or enjoy a drink with one of the best views of the city. Some days of the week it gets very busy, which is usually Saturdays. Not too far ahead (walking distance), there's a parking lot and a small fee is required at the entrance. Should also add that it's a safe place around Lagoa to go with your family, as many people might worry about their safety whilst visiting this spot. So, yeah, you can spend all the time you want here and relax: Parque dos Patins welcomes all ages and it's not a dodgy place at all. Have fun.

It's nice. I wouldn't recommend it on rainy days, since there are very few covered spots. If you are looking for a place to hangout with friends, have a picnic and take some nice pictures and start or finish a run, this is alright. There's no real infrastructure, except for parking (which is pricey) although you will find probably someone with a cart selling water or snacks. Rollerblades rental is available on weekends (maybe weekdays as well).

One of the nicest places to take your kids to play at the weekends and holidays. A great number of activities. It's also nice just to walk around. Beautiful sights. Romantically, or even athletic ride is also unbeatable.
